Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how we work with you, and how we work with the cleaning contractors we introduce to carry out your cleaning. Please read them alongside any quote or invoice we send you. By booking with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Who We Are
CH Services Ltd ("we", "us", "CH Services") is a cleaning services agency based in Chester, operating across Chester and the Wirral. We introduce clients to experienced, self-employed cleaning contractors and manage the booking and invoicing process on their behalf.
2. Our Role as Agent
CH Services acts as an agent, introducing you to independent cleaning contractors ("Contractors") who carry out the cleaning work.
The Contractor, not CH Services, provides the cleaning service to you.
CH Services arranges the introduction, handles scheduling, and collects payment on the Contractor's behalf.
Our invoices show two separate amounts: the Contractor's fee (money we collect and pass on to the Contractor for the work carried out) and our agency fee (what we charge for arranging and managing the service). Only our agency fee is our income; the Contractor's fee is held and paid on to the Contractor.
We pass on the Contractor's fee at the exact amount charged by the Contractor, with no mark-up. Any margin CH Services makes is contained entirely within our separate agency fee.
You are responsible for paying the Contractor for the cleaning carried out. By booking with us, you authorise CH Services to collect that payment from you on the Contractor's behalf and to pass it on to them.
3. Bookings & Scheduling
Bookings can be made by phone, email, or through our website.
We'll confirm the date, time, and scope of work before your first clean.
We'll always try to send the same Contractor for regular bookings, but we may need to arrange a substitute from time to time (for example, due to illness or holiday).
4. Cancellations & Changes
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a clean.
Cancellations made with no notice may still be charged in full, as the Contractor will have set aside time or even travelled for your booking.
We'll always try to be flexible where we reasonably can.
5. Payment
Invoices are issued weekly and set out the Contractor's fee and our agency fee separately.
Payment is due within 1 day of the invoice date, by bank transfer to the account details shown on the invoice.
If payment is late, we may need to pause future bookings until the account is brought up to date.
6. Health & Safety and Access
You're responsible for providing safe access to the property and for telling us about anything the Contractor needs to know before starting work (for example, pets, alarm codes, or hazards).
The Contractor carries out the work at your property in line with reasonable health and safety practice. If something changes at the property that could affect safe working, please let us know as soon as possible.
7. Insurance
Contractors introduced by CH Services are covered by appropriate public liability insurance for the work they carry out. Details are available on request.
8. Complaints & Quality
The Contractor is responsible for the standard of the cleaning they carry out. If you're not happy with a clean, your first point of contact should be the Contractor, so they can put things right directly.
If you're not sure how to reach the Contractor, or you'd like our help, let us know, and we'll support you in getting the issue resolved.
We take feedback seriously and use it to make sure the right Contractor is matched to your property going forward.
9. Ending the Arrangement
Either you or CH Services can end an ongoing cleaning arrangement by giving [one week's] notice. This doesn't affect any fees already owed for work already carried out.
10. Limitation of Liability
CH Services' liability is limited to the agency fee paid in connection with the booking in question, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
